From May 31 to June 2, 2024, CATAN Studios was at UK Games Expo in addition to sponsoring the event. Over the course of three days, CATAN demonstrated new and classic games, held tournaments and put on the CATAN Experience. 

Players were the first consumers in the world to get a taste of CATAN – New Energies, a new standalone game which officially releases in the US, Canada, and UK on June 14, 2024. In addition, players got to have fun playing different scenarios and expansions, as well as the base game. 

While there was casual play, CATAN held three tournaments over the course of the weekend where we crowned two winners. Jess Burns won the UK National Championship as well as the CATAN+ tournament and Katrina Tripple won the Cities & Knights tournament. 

In addition, fans got to do some real life resource trading with the interactive CATAN Experience. Participants received a pack of five buttons with one resource, then they traded with other fans to get one of all five resources. Once they collected all five resources, they could come back to the CATAN booth and receive the sixth and final button: an adorable robber sheep.
