Basic Set-up - During the basic set-up a bonus Discovery Tile of value “5” is left over. What happens with it?
This tile is not required for the standard game. You only need it if you vary the basic set-up as depicted under point 12 of the game rules.
Events - Is my turn finished when the “Pirate” event occurs?
No.
Exploration - Moving the Ship - May I move the Explorer Ship from a newly discovered space onto a space that is already revealed?
No. You may only move the Explorer Ship onto tiles you have revealed on the same turn, immediately before moving the ship.
Exploration - Moving the Ship - My journey of discovery ends because my ship has reached a dead end. May I place another unit?
Yes.
Exploration - Moving the Ship - When do I have to pay toll?
If, at the beginning of your turn, the dotted line to be followed by the Explorer Ship traverses a tile where one of your opponents has a settlement or fort, you must pay toll to him. If this isn't the case, you don’t have to pay.
Island Score - I finished discovering an island on my turn. May I place a scout on it before determining the island's score?
Yes.
Journey of Discovery - Placing Discovery Tiles - I melded two Discovery Tiles. The first tile matches, the second doesn’t. May I place a unit on the first tile after revealing the non-matching tile?
Yes.
Journey of Discovery - Placing Discovery Tiles - I've drawn a tile. One of its land edges matches the Discovery Tile on the starting space, but there's no white line connecting the two tiles. May I place the tile next to the tile on the starting space?
No. A tile only matches if you can place one of its sea edges adjacent to the space the Explorer Ship stands on. You may place the tile only in this matching fashion.
Journey of Discovery - Placing Discovery Tiles - May I place a tile so that its land edge touches the starting spaces?
No. You always must place the tiles in such a way that sea edges with dotted lines border on sea edges with dotted lines, and island sections border on island sections.
Jungle - Do the other scouts move up if a scout occupying a more advanced position is removed from a path?
No. They stay where they are.
Jungle - I’m the second player to place a scout on a cleared space with a dot. May I exchange the Produce Token in the native hut for another token?
No.
Jungle - I’m the second player to place a scout on a cleared space with a dot. May I take a look at the Produce Token inside the native hut?
Yes.
Jungle - May I place one of my scouts into a gap that occurred in a row of scouts?
You actually have to do this when placing a scout into a row that has gaps.
Jungle - May I place scouts from the same island in front of different huts?
Yes.
Jungle - May I take another look at the Produce Token in a native hut at a later moment if I have forgotten which token it was?
No.
Jungle - Which paths may I remove my scouts from?
From whichever path you like.
