Announcing “Hexels” the completely modular "The Settlers of Catan" board solution created by Tim Walsh.

A Hexel is a single hexagonal piece that fits around each Catan game tile. Each hexel frame connects magnetically to its neighbor by allowing each magnet to freely orient itself in whatever direction creates the strongest bond. The result is a board that stays together when playing, allows complete modularity, can be used as a storage device, and it all fits into the original box your game of settlers came in. Please see the pictures below for some examples of how Hexels can be used.

To learn more about Hexels and make a pledge visit the official Kickstarter page here:

Hexels are an officially licensed product of Catan and Mayfair Games. However, it is important to note that the “Hexels” Kickstarter project has no relation to the “Catan Board” Kickstarter project and associated products. This is an entirely separate licensed product which provides a different system for assembling your “The Settlers of Catan” game board.

The “Hexels” Kickstarter still has 11 days left before funding closes. Please visit the Kickstarter page if you are interested in acquiring a set of Hexels.
