Symptom:

The program freezes when starting the second scenario (or the individual scenario "Through the Desert") in the Campaign game.

Problem:

The problem is that due to some incompatible language settings, the name of the second scenario cannot be read by the program.

Solution:

Windows XP:

  1. Please go to the Windows system preferences -> Time, Language and Region
  2. Open "Change Date, Time and Number format"
  3. Set Format to "English (USA)"

Windows Vista / Windows 7:

  1. Please go to the Windows system preferences -> Time, Language and Region

  2. Open "Change Date, Time and Number format"

  3. Set Format to "English (USA)"

  4. Go to the tab "Administrative"

  5. Open "Change System Locale" in section "Language for non-Unicode programs"

  6. Set Language to "English (USA)"
