Brazilian Catan Championship |

  On July 17 and 18, the first tournament of the Brazilian Catan Championship took place in Rio de Janeiro, with generous support from the local Goethe-Institut. The second tournament followed on July 24 and 25 in São Paulo, and the grand finale is scheduled for August 1st in São Paulo as well. More information in Portuguese here: www.catanbrasil.com

Remember like half a year ago when we were proudly announcing that “The Settlers of Catan” fan page on Facebook exceeded 35,000 fans?
Now guess what: We hit 60,000 fans this week! A big thank you goes out to all our Facebook fans, or “Catanimals” as they are called these days, and of course our fans all over the world.

Mayfair Games Catan Events on Catan.com |

We would like to inform you that from now on all Catan Events from the recently relaunched Mayfair Games website will be incorporated into a seperate page on Catan.com automatically.
Until now, we had to manually copy and paste the events, with the immanent risk of getting “out of sync” as soon as there were made additions or corrections to existing events.
From now on, any new event or event detail will be available on Catan.com almost instantly.

Three new cities for the Catan Online World! |

We are very happy to announce that starting with the new game period of the Catan Online World on April 14, 2010, three more cities will open their gates:
Katimavik Bay
Kolonistenpolder
Conestoga Creek
Continuing the tradition that was established when Port Niagara and Pacifica were created, committed citizens from our three existing English-speaking COW cities have formed teams of pioneers for the new cities. They will be helping to develop friendly new communities where every new citizen can feel at home.
