Playing Catan on PC against virtual opponents has a long history, but the existing version, always missed the one most popular expansion: Cities & Knights. Therefore, it was about time to remedy this situation and finally create an solid AI implementation.
This fall, the moment will arrive. The artificial intelligence of the virtual opponents has been thoroughly improved and refined and should offer a real challenge even for experienced Catan gamers. Being the author of the game, Klaus Teuber was closely involved in the project development; the new version was created in cooperation with the Catan Online World team.

"Catan – Cities & Knights" offers excitement and gaming fun for everyone – from day-one fans to newcomers. You can choose between eight different virtual opponents in total. The extensive campaign includes many varied scenarios, from the basic game, to various Seafarers scenarios (among other things, Oceania and Heading for New Shores), to Cities & Knights scenarios in combination with Seafarers (among other things, Greater Catan C&K).

The individual scenarios of the campaign can be activated step-by-step and then played individually, using different options such as “Friendly Robber” or “Card Stack.” Spoken story sequences develop the story of the campaign. An interactive tutorial facilitates access for newcomers. Extensive game statistics are available for experienced gamers.
