Catan Adventures

In Candamir, you slip into the role of a young adventurer who lands on Catan as one of the first settlers and tries his luck there. Like in a traditional role-playing game, you upgrade your female or male character as the game advances, thus becoming stronger, more skilled, and more charismatic. You’re in dire need of these abilities, because in the wild you must resist ferocious bears, poisonous snakes, or hungry wolves, and you must accomplish tasks that bring you closer to victory. In Candamir, you will meet many characters from the novel “The Settlers of Catan” by bestseller author Rebecca Gablé.

Some decades after the first settlers land on Catan, they found their first city and call it Elasund. You are one of the city’s builders, and your goal is, of course, to build the most magnificent and valuable buildings in the city. For this, you need gold and Influence Cards, combined with a good deal of tactical skills. Elasund reached sixth place in the elections for the “Deutscher Spielepreis” (“German Game Prize”) in 2006.
