Last month, more than 800 people gathered to play and celebrate the biggest and longest board game ever!
Catan player veterans and newbies of all ages and from all walks of life sat down at a row of tables measuring over 1000 feet!
They all came to trade, build, compete for resources and most importantly - to make history!

Next week, on October 15th and 16th, the 4th Catan World Championship will take place at the SPIEL in Essen, Germany.
Contestants from 28 countries will come together to trade, build and settle - and of course - to have a great time!
The event is organized by the Spielezentrum Herne club. The good people
from the Spielezentrum have even thought of those gamers, who cannot
physically attend the event. Beginning on October 13th, you can observe
the gaming activities via webcam on www.spielezentrum.de
We look forward to seeing you either in person,
or ... well, virtually :-)!

Tsunami Relief Effort auction brings in EUR 2401.70 |

The team around the Dutch Catan website www.kolonisten.nl today
announced that an auction of Catan related items brought in EUR
2,401.70.
The proceeds of the auction, which ended today, will be donated to
the "gezamelijke hulporganisaties" (United Aid Organisation). The
donation will be used to help victims affected by the Tsunami.
Many thanks to the kolonisten.nl team led by Stefan and Astrid!
