The results for the Catan food contest are in! Thanks again to everyone who participated this year, we had some fantastic submissions! And now the moment you have all been waiting for: the winner of The Second Annual Catan Food Contest is Azure Akamay of Anacortes, WA. Azure is the proud winner of the new 4th edition The Settlers of Catan, Catan Seafarers, and Catan Cities and Knights games! Azure made a stunning completely edible Catan base game cards and all. Taking a look at the picture to the right really says it all.
The second place winner is Cristian Cabrera of Cordoba, Argentina, who created a Catan board from cake, candy covered chocolate pieces, and other goodies. He wins a copy of the new 4th edition The Settlers of Catan.
The third place winner is Melissa Whitfield, who re-created the 3rd edition Catan base game cover in the form of a gingerbread house. Melissa wins Elasund: The First City, from the Catan Adventures line of games!
We had a mouth watering time looking at the submissions this year. Thanks again to all of those who submitted such wonderful Catan food creations!

Catan LLC wants to wish Will
Niebling, the retiring CEO of Mayfair Games, a warm, fond farewell.
Mayfair Games, Inc. recently announced that its beloved CEO, Will Niebling, has
decided to retire after 10 wonderful years as CEO of Mayfair Games. We
understand that, after 30+ years in the game industry and approximately 25
years of service with Mayfair Games, Will is stepping away from his management
work in order to focus on more creative endeavors. Catan LLC is grateful for
all of Will's excellent service leading the Catan brand in the US over the
past decade and we wish him the best for the future.
Over the years, Catan LLC and Mayfair Games, Inc. have developed a strong and
successful partnership. We are very excited to announce that we will be
continuing our partnership with Mayfair Games, Inc. We look forward to working
with the new management team and we are happy that it will have many familiar
faces. We are pleased to hear that Pete Fenlon will be shouldering the role of
corporate CEO, Larry Roznai will continue as President , and Robert Carty will
remain the Sales & Marketing Director. Working with the entire Mayfair team over the years has been great and we are
glad that we continue working with them!
