Mayfair just got back from Origins! The show was a great success for Mayfair, especially since the Catan Event Cards won "Best Accessory for a Game" at this year's Origins Awards. The Origins convention also hosted the US National Catan Championship. Mayfair Games is proud to announce that this year's winner, Mark Greenwald of Mableton, Georgia, will be our first US representative at The Settlers of Catan World Championship in Essen, Germany.

Mayfair Games, Inc. will be attending the Games Expo 2007, being held March 19-22, 2007 at the South Point Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a first-time show for both hobby game and non-game retailers.
Renowned Catan designer Klaus Teuber will be a special guest at the show! You might even get a chance to play a game with Klaus, such as "The Settlers of Catan", "The Great River", "Fishermen of Catan" and more. Retailers should register early for the chance to play a game with Klaus on Wednesday, at 2 PM. One lucky retailer will walk away with a limited 3D Catan Collector's Edition!

The prestigious Chicago Tribune dedicated an article about the emerging "The Settlers of Catan" phenomenon in yesterday's Sunday edition. The article highlights the success of the game, which transcends cultural boundaries and speaks to people of all ages and cultures.
The article identifies "The Settlers of Catan" as a game that redefines "the face of gaming". This is due to the fact that the game can be learned quickly, is highly interactive and offers "an inexpensive, social alternative top bars and clubs for young professionals, (...)"(Chicago Tribune).

The Settlers of Catan World Qualifier for the US at Gen Con is now
completed. This was a very exciting tournament this year and Catan GmbH
is proud to announce the final four:
