There will be a The Settlers of Catan®Tournament this Labor Day weekend
at ConQuest SF 2006! The Conquest SF tradition continues with four,
fun-filled days of gaming at the San Francisco Airport Marriott. If
your in the Bay Area and you love games, come by the Con and
participate in The Settlers of Catan®Tournament for a chance to win

The Settlers of Catan World Qualifier for the US at Gen Con is now
completed. This was a very exciting tournament this year and Catan GmbH
is proud to announce the final four:

Matt McLaughlin, IA - US Representative

Michelle Sharp, MI - 2nd place
-
Jeff Klemens, IN - tied for third
-
Mike Rohr, KS - tied for third
Congrats to Matt! We wish him luck at Essen.

Last week, Mayfair Games held the US National "The Settlers of Catan"
championship. The winner and US champion is: Scott Scribner from
Columbus, Ohio!
The Catan tournament was just one out of many fun events that generated buzz and excitement for Mayfair Games, Inc.

Next week, on October 15th and 16th, the 4th Catan World Championship will take place at the SPIEL in Essen, Germany.
Contestants from 28 countries will come together to trade, build and settle - and of course - to have a great time!
The event is organized by the Spielezentrum Herne club. The good people
from the Spielezentrum have even thought of those gamers, who cannot
physically attend the event. Beginning on October 13th, you can observe
the gaming activities via webcam on www.spielezentrum.de
We look forward to seeing you either in person,
or ... well, virtually :-)!
